EDM Challenge 105 - Scissors

I thought this would be an easy one to do, but I was wrong about that. Following all those curved lines was very difficult for me to do. This is not bad, but it is my third attempt at it. The first was terrible. But I did learn a lot about drawing what the eye sees, and following lines and shadows. Good practice.

This is watercolor and pigma pen in my Aquabee Sketchbook. I enhanced the color a bit in the scan just so the contrast shows up a bit better.

Nice! I haven't done the scissors yet. I'm kinda starting at the start of the list and working through. :)

Lynn, I'm not sure how to get an email to you at the correct address but I'll try this. If you're not receiving EDM posts it may be that your mail is bouncing. Log in to yahoo, go to your account and check. I don't know your yahoo ID name or I could check for you. You can write me at gwprod@pacbell.net and let me know. You need to "unbounce" your account yourself. Hope this helps, Karen

You did a wonderful job on these scissors and they are not easy to do. Love the shading also.

The first time is difficult isn't it?!! I like the scissors, and you're right about drawing what we see, rather than what we know is there.

If you'd like to try another challenge, there's a Monthly Creative Workout on my site. Do feel free to send us a drawing!

I found this one difficult too - ovals and straight lines! But you've done a great job with it.

Great job! Scissors are really a lot harder than most people think -- (I haven't done them yet...)
