Is the moon tired?
She looks so pale
Within her misty veil:
She scales the sky from east to west,
And takes no rest.
Before the coming of the night
The moon shows papery white;
Before the dawning of the day
She fades away.
From Sing-Song by Christina Rossetti (1830-1894)
Watercolor on hot press paper 4x6" painted wet in wet with the stars masked out.

This is a great look--very successful challenge for you!
I absolutely love it! :) This is something I've always wanted to have in my bedroom wall and ceiling when I was a kid.
I love how you made the body of the moon, it makes the white edge stand out so nicely! Lovely painting!
Beautiful- I love the colour blue you have chosen. And the poem is lovely too.
Wonderful!
