My kitchen trash can is white plastic, and the condo's is a big brown bin, neither of which were interesting nor inspiring. I found a picture in a flyer of this sleek, stainless steel cylinder and decided to play with color. I'm not sure that I like this at all. But my philosophy is that if I do the challenge, I post the challenge. I'll chalk this one up as practice. The lesson learned today is to look at mundane things in a new way, and see the beauty in practicality and utility.

Oh my, you chose a very difficult surface to paint. My very first reflective surface painting in oils years ago was tin cans, so I know how you feel! This looks great however, don't be discouraged!
You did a great job! this can has so many refelctions and you showed that really well.
Don't be so quick to dismiss this painting. I like it. I think you captured the reflective surface an interesting and attractive way. Keep up the good work!
I think you did great on showing the roundness of the shape. And, I too am trying to make myself post each challenge (I've just started on them this week). I've cringed at each one because I'm not happy with them, but for me, posting it is part of the challenge. I appreciate your sharing your work.
Nicely done!
This looks great! You did so well getting that can to look shiny!
What a great job of capturing the look of steel!
