EDM 109 - Clock

These are some of the clocks around my house. The little one on the right is a fold up, promotional clock from Toyota that also tells the temperature and date. The round green clock is the one from our first apartment. The one on the left is the microwave clock. While doing (and enjoying) this challenge, I remembered my favorite quote from Benjamin Franklin: "Time. No one has enough, yet everyone has all there is". I use it as a reminder that no matter how I rush or fuss, I can't change the progression of time, so just relax and do what I can in the time I have. I liked this challenge, the more I draw, the more I enjoy the process. I seem to slip more often in to the "zone" when I draw. And that's when time has no meaning.

This is watercolor pencil and the Micron Pigma pen in my Aquabee sketchbook.

Lynn, great drawings and that's a wonderful discovery that the more you are unaware of the passage of time. You are really in "flow" as Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi wrote about it.

Find more about flow here, I think you'll enjoy it:

Good job with this challenge Lynn - how ambitious, doing several clocks. And I enjoyed your post as well - I need to find my way to the 'zone' more often!
